What's in my Autumn Makeup Bag

What is in my Autumn Makeup Bag.

To Start with I change my makeup bag contents quite a lot depending the season or when I buy new products etc. also the size of my makeup bag changes sometimes it can be small and other rather big at the moment it's a big makeup bag.
My Makeup Bag is a Ted Baker one from Boots and i think it was last years spring/summer collection.

For Autumn, like everyone else i bring out the coppers, gold, burgundy's, berry tones and all them other beautiful Autumn colours that you can wear/use.

So to start with I'll say my basics these are the main makeup pieces I use pretty much all year round and it is only recently that if found products that i want to keep repurchasing the only thing i do swap a change is foundation (my skin is funny some times and just doesn't want to like foundation and I don't know why)

Foundation at the moment is Max Factor Skin Luminizer in 55 Beige (£11.99) I've been really enjoying this foundation and it covers my blemishes really well and it isn't heavy which I like.

Highlighter I have two Highlights that I both love and they are The B. Sweet Popping Candy Highlighting Serum (£14.99) and The Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Or Rose (£25.00). These work just as good as each other but I do of course have a soft spot for my Yves Saint Laurent and It's Rose Gold Packaging.

Concealer is the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer in Light (£10.00) This is my favourite concealer I've properly ever owned as it has a under eye brighter as well as the concealer and a powder to set the concealer and under eye brighter which is really good. I have repurchased this a couple of time already and I will definitely keep on purchasing it.

Powder is the Soap & Glory One Heck Of a Blot (£12.00) I've have been using this powder for a while and it does want it say it takes the shine away and no one want a shiny forehead.

Bronzer is the Loreal Paris Glam Bronze Terra in 02 Capri-Naturale   (£12.99) This bronzer I've been using for a couple of months and it is so good you don't need a lot of it to be effective which I think is why I like it so much because even though it's a little pricey it's big and is a face and body bronzer.

Mascara is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Black (£7.99) This Mascara I've mentioned in a few monthly favourites and it is definetly my favourite mascara I have ever used it lengths, separates and gives volume and doesn't clump and I have already purchased a new one for when the one I'm currently either runs out or goes out of date.

Brows I have a palette and pencil for this but they are both from HD Brows in the shade Foxy I bought this a the Pro Beauty show a year or so ago so i have the older packaging as after I got mine they redesigned their packaging. I can't remember the exact price as i also bought my sister one and they had a 3 for 2 on but the new palettes are £25.00 which come in Bombshell, Foxy and Vamp which can double up as eye shadows and the Brow Define (pencil) is £18.00 and also comes in Bombshell, Foxy and Vamp. I tint my brows and switch between a palette and pencil to fill in the gaps that appear when the tint doesn't take as well and when they are fading it depends which I'm feeling to which I use but both work just as well.

I also use the Miss Sporty Just Clear Mascara (£2.99) to 'set' my brows and keep them in shape. I've used this for years to start with it was the only clear mascara I could ever find and for £3 you can't really complain and it does the job why change to a brow gel when i have my pencil and palette to fill in.

The New makeup I have added to my makeup bag for Autumn.

Eyeliner now I use black eyeliner more in Autumn but i also use different colours. I have a gel liner as well as a liquid and pencil liners. I have Barry M's Kohl pencil in White I use this in the inner corner to make my eyes seem bigger (£2.99). Soap & Glory's Smoulder kohl in Super Black, Cocoa /bean and Grapevine (£5.00). The Body Shop Metallic Eye Definer in 14 Glowing Amethyst. The liquid eyeliner is the Revlon Colourstay Liner in Blackest Black (£7.99) The Gel Liner is Bobbi Brown's Long-wear gel eyeliner in Chocolate Shimmer Ink (£18.50) sometimes i like to use the Bobbi Brown Gel liner to change it up and to soften a look.

Eye Shadows for Autumn there is so many palettes and singular eye shadows so here are some of my favourites

Revolution Palette in Flawless has 32 Shades which are beautiful and perfect for Autum and it's only £8.00 as well as being a mix of mattes and shimmers, that create beautiful Autumn Smokey eyes as well a subtle blends of shades to create something a little newer, so far their has been six shades that i'm constantly using. Which are Gold Digger, Golden Night, Copper Shimmer, Darkest Shimmer, Medal and Red Night.

Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eye-shadow I have this in Pink Gold, Metallic Pomegranate, On and on Bronze and Eternal Gold. I love the colours as well as the Staying power of them.

Other Eye Shadows I have in my makeup bag are:

MUA Single eye shadows in Shade 30 - Pearl, Shade 11 - Pearl and Shade 27 - Pearl  (£1.00 each)

Dior 5 Couleurs palette Regard Couture - 566 Versaillies (£42.00)

There is so many more but you get the idea with the kind of colours/shades I'm using and will be using through Autumn and Winter.

Lips for Lips i have these three Lipstick in my makeup bag as my Red Yves Saint Laurent stays in my acrylic organizer on my dressing table but it does get used a lot in Autumn and especially Winter. So in my bag I have

Revlon ultra HD Lipstick in 820 Petunia. This for me is a pretty berry tone as it's not too dark to make you look drained as it's more of a pinky tone. (£7.99 this was also swatched in my Let the Early Nights begin with Style and Grace blog post)

L'oreal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire - 401 Fuschia Drama This is a Bright pink and would be great to brighten up a outfit (£8.99 This was also in the Let the Early Night Begin with Style and Grace blog)

The Body Shops Colour Crush - 315 Coral Kiss This is a perfect coral colour as its sutble and shimmer, I'll normal use it when I've gone all out on my eyes or for a simple day look and it is my got to lipstick. (£10.00)

So there you have it that is was is currently in my makeup bag for this Autumn and properly Winter but for Winter there will probably be more glitters and sparkles. I'm a Magpie I can't help it.

Let the Early Nights Begin with Style and Grace.

Let the Early Nights Begin with Style and Grace.

With X-Factor starting it seems, dare i say it, Christmas is just around the corner as for me X-factor is usually the countdown to the start of shorter days and darker nights. Which bring all the joys of Chunky Knitwear, Changing Leaves, Hot Chocolate, Halloween, Bonfire, Candles, Christmas Shopping, Christmas scents and so much more.

Soon it will also be time to change my bedding from my Summer Pin-up girls to my pink roses and grey throws and have all my fairy lights on in my room.

So this blog post is hopefully here to help you enjoy Autumn and Winter with all the things i love as well as tips on how to keep you hair and skin screaming for help during and once it's over.

Autumn Colours

One of my most loved thing about Autumn is i get to bring out mustard's, burgundy's, deep green's, burnt oranges items of clothes i owe and those i will purchase (in winter you get away with wearing comfy clothes that look amazing) also i'm going to add blush tones to this years wardrobe, subtle baby pinks, gold, metallic, nudes, grey these all need to be subtle or you may look dreary or that you've just come from the motherboard and again i'll be adding pale blue (pale blue was my colour last year) Don't be afraid to layer things whether it be multiple colours, patterns (just got to be brave) and even textures. It's colder weather so layering is a must to keep you warm as well as stylish.
Scarf £19.00 Bag £29.00 Pom Pom bag Charm £7.00 (Accessorize)

Jewellery

Jewellery in autumn and winter for me means more statement necklaces with chunky knitwear (my favourite combination) and lots more deep/dark colours can be used without looking depressing. When it comes to A/W i seem to stay more towards gold jewellery but it all depends on what i'm actually wearing.
Some of my favourite at the moment are these: (All From Accessorize)
All Statement Necklace range from £12.00 - £19.00

Studs £12.00 Hoops £6.00
Drop Earring £17.00 Gold fanned £6.00
Hoops £6.00 Mermaid pearls £4.00
Heart Ring (this is a normal ring i just got it in a smaller a size to be a midi) £15.00

Don't be afraid of sparkle as it can make a simple outfit look flawless and effortless and whats better then looking flawless and effortless.

Looking after you

In Winter it's important that you keep looking after your skin, hair and feet. Having a Skincare routine is important and even more important in winter due to the lack of sun your skin gets which can lead to it looking dry, tired, run down and in serious need of some TLC. So getting into a skin routine now or just following the simple tips should keep you skin glowing even of the coldest, rainiest of days. Your Hair is also important as the cold, windy weather makes hair brittle and not all soft and shine as we'd like. Finally your feet in winter most of us shove them in boots and do not think about them till the T.V reminds us summer is coming and by then they've got more cracks then a broken mirror.

So here are some of my Tips and Products that i use to help all of that stay away.

Skin Routine

Using a Cleanser, toner and moisturiser both morning and night will help, using a hydrating, creamier moisturiser that can soak in will be better even if it's just at night or using The Body Shop's Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-oil (£15.00 28ml) (which is a great product and really works) doing this will help keep your skin plump and hydrated. Also keep a moisturiser handy in your purse so that you can use it when you need or remember, The Body Shop moisturisers are all good sizes for you bag as well as being great for your skin (£13.00 50ml)

Hair Routine

For hair using a hair mask with help stop it breaking i use the Toni & Guy Nourish Reconstruction Mask (£6.49  200ml it's currently 3 for 2 in boots and a 1/3 off in superdrug) they also do mask for blondes and brunettes. Also using a leave in Conditioner will help. I use the Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Conditioner Spray (£4.49 250ml)  and using other products such as Organix argan oil weightless revivig dry oil and their extra penetrating oil. Using products like this will help keep you hair soft, shiny and full of life.

Everything else

Feet - using a foot cream I have three to recommend which are budget, spend and Splurge (I've used all of these products and depending on how cracked and dry your feet are, use the the splurge option but if it's just up keep either budget or spend will do the job just as well and have a more pleasant scent) Budget: Soap & Glory's Heel Genius  (£5.50 125ml) Spend The Body Shop's Peppermint intensive foot rescue (£9.00 100ml) Splurge Flexitol heel balm (£11.50 200g)

Hands - having a hand lotion in your bag will help you to remember to use it, Soap & Glory's Hand Food Travel size (£2.50 50ml)

Lips - Start using Lip balms buy two then keep one in your bag and the other in your room and using Lip Scrubs Lush Lip Scrubs come in a variety of smells which are all delicious (£5.50 25g) this will stop you getting cracked lips and have you pout ready.

Lip Colours

So for A/W i'm usually guilty to sticking to one certain colour but as Sid would say in Ice Age 'I know my Berrys' but this year i found some nice sutble nudes and some bright colours that will make a monochrome/simple outift/look just pop and of course i have to include my favourite red lipstick of all time.
 1. Revlon Colourburst - 105 Demure  (£7.99)
This is pinky peach colour and is is nice a subtle if you were wearing nudes or greys.

2. L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire - 600 Nude Vibrato (£8.99)
This is more of a coral pink and would also compliment nudes and grey's.

3. L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire - 401 Fuschia Drama (£8.99)
This is a bright pink and would be great to brighten up a monochrome outfit.

4. Revlon Ultra HD - 820 Petunia (£7.99)
This is a light berry tone and little bit more pink then a red. Berry tones go with a lot and a nice alternative to a red in A/W

5. Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick -Black Cherry (£17.00)
This a true deep berry tone but i use a lip brush to get a lighter tone.

6. L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire - 401 Ruby Opera (£8.99)
This is a deep red and is going towards the burgundy colour.

7. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture - 1 (£26.00)
This is my favourite red i have it's a classic Hollywood red and it's really long lasting.

So there are my tips and favourite combination to rock in the A/W, hopefully you found this helpful, tell me what your favourite thing about Autumn or Winter is?

August Favourites

August Favourites

It's doesn't seem that long ago when i start my March Favourites and was excited for Summer, and most of the time lately it feels like summer is coming to a brisk end with thunder storm and showers making appearance as well as one foggy morning and chilly days and this limbo of weather annoys me as sometimes it can't start of beautiful like any another Summer's day and end like Autumn's evening (cuddle up with my dog drinking Hot Chocolate). I'd rather be one or the other but right now i'm favouring Autumn due to shops being out the A/W collections (why is there so much pretty things i can't afford i'm looking at you SimplyBe and you Lavish Alice blush jacket) more cosy nights, fireworks, Halloween, hot chocolate, chunky knit wear and to enjoy a nice hot meal. But here it is my August Favourites all the things I've been loving.

Cinema

Jurassic World

Yes i finally got to see it after months of wanting to and it did not disappoint me at all,  Bonus point Chris Pratt is not to bad to look at. I'm also so glad they set it up for another one to be made by making it clear unlike the original Jurassic Park. I'm surprised I didn't jump and what i did there was one bit i jumped out and it wasn't a 'scary part' but i can't remember what it was now, but the people in front of me did jump several times. So good job Universal, keep it up can't wait for the next one.

One film i haven't seen yet but i'm sure i will is Pixar's Inside Out.... it's Disney and i am going to see it tomorrow so i'm sure it'll creep into my September Favourites.

DVD

Cinderella

Although I never saw it at the cinema, watching it on my tiny T.V was just as good as sitting in the cinema. I love this whole re-do of classic that Disney are doing as well as the tales from the Villains point of view too. Making them fresh, new, exciting and  it makes you understand and see the tale in a new light which i love. Cinderella still keeps too it original roots but you get a bit more of a back story and how she came to be known as Cinderella, also how she always had courage and was kind to everyone even though i'm sure no one would begrudged her from adding rat dropping to her stepmother's and stepsisters food. Final point the blue dress is amazing especially when she dances it made 7 year old me incredibly happy.

Beauty

Dior: Couture Colours and effects Eyeshadow Palette - 566 Versailles

This palette i got for my 21st birthday from my sister it's so pretty and all the colours are so perfect. The palette is a nude and metallic variation (golds, silvers, coppers and of course a dark colour) and of the shades they are all shimmer. One of the nudes is a nice neutral shade to wear day to day to make your eyes pop.

Vegas Nay Lashes by Eyelure

I bought three of the four strip lashes they do but they only had three in superdrug when i purchased them and it was 3 for 2 so bonus they only had three in. I purchase the Grand Glamour which are the most fullest out of all of the ones i got and i'd call this my 'go all out pair' they are double layered like my normal going out pair and i love them. Shining Star this pair are one layer but still full and flirty and these would be my 'i'm not making an effort effort' pair like i just threw these on because they're not my going out lashes but i wanted to look nice. Easy Elegance is the finally pair i bought these are very much subtle full lashes these would be my 'i don't want to look like I've made a ton of effort but i'm wearing lashes so some effort happen' these are the lashes i'd probably wear day to day if i wanted to make the effort or if you was going on a date and you didn't wanna look like you've spent 5 hours on your face.

Everything Else

Shower

Soap & Glory: Sugar Crush - Body Wash

This body wash is more creamier then an shower gel which makes me believe it's more moisturising then a gel, it smells amazing out of the bottle but the only thing is you don't smell of it for long once you rinsed the suds away unless you use the Sugar Crush Body Mist.

Crafty

Recently I've become partly crafty (not a clue were it has come from) i have two cork boards in my room which were for notes and calender's etc. One of them i had also written on at the age of about 13 so yup embarrassing scribbles and words were there, and now they don't really have a lot on them. So i had the Idea to put my Polaroids up, so to cover up the embarrassing scribbles of 13 year old me i put wrapping paper over the board and pinned it into place (the wrapping paper is silver with a pink/purple paisley pattern on it, super pretty) then I pinned gold wrapped string and pegged my pictures up in ordered that they happened and now i can't wait to do the same thing to my picture wall (which is in progress) just minus the wrapping paper. My picture wall is going to also be a memory wall as well as having quotes to live by of course but my kind of quotes such as ' Always be yourself unless you can be like a Unicorn then always be a Unicorn' words to live by.

So there it is another months favourites, also I've become more organised by getting a note book for blog post ideas so when ever i have an idea i can just jot it down and go from there. Things are looking up for me with getting replies and interviews for jobs i'm staying positive. So if your feeling down as things aren't going your way don't give up as it's just around the corner whatever your waiting for. As good things always come to those who wait, So just stay positive, have courage and be kind.

Dear SeaWorld... Let me Help you get back your Soul.

Dear SeaWorld..... Let me help you.

So the past couple of weeks I've seen many of online newspaper articles saying how your profits and attendance to the park has dropped since the film Blackfish was brought to light. And hundreds upon thousand of people tweeting, writing status etc. to warn people from going to SeaWorld. So before anyone judges me and thinks i'm into them keeping killer whales in tiny pools i am not, this blog post is being written to help them if possible and if Mr/Mrs SeaWorld will listen, as i think thousands of people complaining will not make them change their mind, so here i am writing a calm blog post and i am going to speak their language of boosting Profits and Attendances Rates and hopefully they will want to listen.

Firstly you should think about stopping the 'performances' of the Whales and replacing the area/stadium with a bigger area for them if they really can't be release to the wild the area should have other sea-life and plants and fishes so they can start to remember what it's like to be a whale and eat live fish and so visitors don't lose the wonder of seeing them have a small section for visitors to watch them without using flash photography, cause i know i would not want flashing lights in my face all day everyday would you? Let the whales be whales again and stop the back flips, spins etc. This should happen if it is true they really can't be released into the wild.

Secondly make another theme park near the coast where you could do boat rides to go see whales in their natural environment, i think a lot more of people/visitors would like to see the whales do what they do in the wild. (and if they don't see any either offer them a partial refund or offer them another other boat trip a different day and yes one day it may get to the point where the whales come up to the boat and interact with the boat but that is what will make it all the more brilliant witnessing it)

Thirdly i think the welfare and area's for all animals you have in your care should be changed appropriately to their needs and wants as well as having new area's to educate people and children how to look after our oceans and animals because they may be pretty and full of life now but may one day they'll be nothing left.
Do you want to be the generation that does nothing to help?
or
Do you want to be the generation that starts caring?

And Finally if your profits do go up why not give a percentage of them to charity that help Sea-Life and the oceans?

So if you agree with what i wrote Share it on Facebook, Tweet and Retweet on Twitter and any other Media to help it reach Mr/Mrs SeaWorld.

This Post may do nothing at all but at least i can say i tried to give SeaWorld it's soul back for i am evieeviolet and i speak for those you cannot hear..

Disney & Me

Disney & Me

If you haven't heard of Disney or Disney Parks or seen a Disney Film then which rock have you been living under for the past 60 years or so and what a deprived childhood you had. Now most of the time when i say i like (understatement of the year) Disney most people say isn't that for kids...... no no no just stop and educate yourself with some of Walt Disney own words 'You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway'.

Disney is for EVERYONE i can't say it enough it's not all girly with princesses and fluffy bunny's, it's monsters scaring, old men finding their paradise after losing their loved one, a bad guy realising being bad isn't that bad, toys have feelings too and things are not always as they seem and so much more. Disney over the years has changed and adapted with the time as well as staying true to Walt's vision of the Happiest of place on earth. And with the reviving old classic from either villains or a hero's point of view or just giving it another layer it's turning old classics into new exciting version with making you feeling for villains and understand why they did what they did.

Disney Parks are also for everyone if you like roller coaster then at least all parks have a hand full of them, (Rocking Roller coaster, Hotel Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Big Thunder mountain, Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure/The Temple of Peril) but some of my favourite rides include Phantom Manor/Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror, Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland Paris is still original for the time being until the close it for a big refurbishment to include Jack Sparrow personally i prefer it without, the ride inspired the film that keep it that way)

So why do I love Disney so much?

I Love Disney because it takes me back to being a child when i use to sit and watch Little Mermaid when my mum was making tea, watching Beauty and the Beast while she cleaned and watched Cinderella and laughing at Gus Gus's laugh (my mum recorded me as a baby not even 1 laughing), visiting Disneyland Paris multiple times with my family and loving meeting the character the rides and going to America for a once in a life time holiday to go to both Disneyland and Disney World (as well as doing Discovery Cove and universal etc.) and riding the Hollywood Tower of Terror when it was brand new. Disney gave me great memories that I'll treasure forever.

How has Disney made an impact on your life?

Well for one I wouldn't have my tattoo's that I love (the map of Neverland, Alice in Wonderland leg piece for my mum that still needs finishing, an acorn, true love heart and the words Beauty Lies Within), Disney taught me that you can do anything you want as long you believe that you can, have courage and be kind, every girl is a princess, Hakuna Matata, adventure is out there, never grow up, keep moving forward and you definitely don't need a man to save you become your own hero and chose your own fate.

Cue The pictures of Disney & Me.
